Food for the Soul 2019.

“Man shall not live on bread alone” (Luke 4:4). We can all agree that a full belly is very important. At Ligstad we provide our children with delicious meals on a daily basis. We also don’t serve just any old meals. A great deal of consideration goes into the meals we choose to provide to our children. Why? Well, we wish to insure that each and every serving is both well balanced and tasty. Our kids deserve it!

The same should be true when it comes to the spiritual food we choose to enjoy. Consider the things you allow to enter your thoughts. There are people who enjoy their mornings much more, since they stopped listing to the news on their way to work. I’ve recently heard of a lady whom chooses to pray for everyone dear to her, in her car, on her way to work. What a wonderful idea.

On Fridays, the Ligstad aftercare kids take things a bit easier. They play games, attend music classes and receive some yummy soul food while attending our weekly Good News Hour. Each week, we have a different presenter bringing the word of God to the children. We are very lucky to have access to such a diverse array of presenters, because each of them have their own special way of introducing God to the children. It’s our way of ensuring we take care of our children, not only in body but in spirit as well. Each and every child counts.
