On Thursday, 24 March 2016 the lives of the elderly of Ligstad were touched and enriched by the Mall Maestro ensemble when they performed at Ligstad. The Mall Maestro ensemble is a music ministry, under the leadership of Maretha Viljoen, that utilises the opportunity to touch the lives of older people. While entertaining them they also try to reach the souls of their audience with the music, songs and the tracts they leave behind. It is their prayer that the excellence of their music reflects the excellence of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Not only did they perform at Ligstad, but a touching Gospel message was delivered by Tammy van den Heuvel who reminded everyone about the sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross more than 2000 years ago.
Ligstad thanks the Mall Maestros for including them in their annual tour amongst the elderly. Everyone attending this precious afternoon left with beautiful music that filled their souls and the knowing in their hearts that they are precious in the eyes of the Lord.
This performance formed part of Ligstad’ s Easter outreach within the community of Alberton North and was received with open arms and hearts by the community members reached this year. It was Ligstad’ s privilege to co-host this outreach with the Mall Maestros
